I just paid for an item on gogogadgets. After I completed my payment, I was amazed that the confirmation of order completion showed that about £20 more was charged to my credit card. The extra charges were showing as “shipping” and “VAT”! There was no mention of these charges before I ordered. I have never before seen VAT added to a charge AFTER the order was placed. This cannot be fair!
